Tantasqua Prom ended in car crash.

The Holland Blog learned that last night a limousine carrying at least four seniors of the "Car class of 2009 attending Tantasqua Regional High School was involved in a traffic accident on Stafford Road in Holland. A drunk driver crashed head-on into the limousine carrying the teenagers. Two of the teenagers suffered injuries. The driver’s name is Zach Bilodeau from Sturbridge. He was arrested on the scene. The Limousine was on its way back from the Prom that took place at La Renaissance at 53 Prospect Hill Road, East Windsor, CT 06088. The Prom started at 18:00 hours and ended at 22:30 hours. Bilodeau played football and is on the list of TANTASQUA WARRIORS SOUTHERN WORCESTER COUNTY LEAGUE ALL-STARS of the season 2004-2005.

Officials still cover Chief Kevin Gleason

Every word in bold italic on the entire Holland Blog is a link, click on any to read the original document.
I do have knowledge that the State Police conducted an investigation about a larceny, implicating Kevin Gleason, around the time our Board of Selectmen, Earl Johnson, James Wettlaufer, and Christian Peterson promoted Kevin Gleason and trusted him with the safety of our community. I sent a letter and requested a copy of the report on the investigation under the “Freedom of Information Act.”
The answer letter written by Joan O’Brian from the Office of the Chief Legal Counsel, 470 Worcester Road, Farmington Ma 01702, is telling. The answer was written at a time Kevin Gleason was still the Chief in Holland. The letter insinuates that there is no limit to the cost that such a request could potentially incur. This of course is BS. Under the law, they have to supply me with copies at a cost of $1 per page. If they can’t find the report because they have a mess and are not organized it is their problem. Officials instead of checking each other they cover each other, it is a phenomena I witnessed throughout government, including all three branches. Our selectboard had many opportunities to oust Gleason. It is telling that it did not!
I try to find humor in everything; I could not do what I do otherwise. My answer letter to Joan O’Brian needs to be read with this in mind to be appreciated.
Some day I will have a copy of the report, I promise! I will thereafter add a piece about Kevin P. Gleason under his name to the “Who Is Who” section of the Holland Blog to bring closure to the Gleason saga. If you have knowledge of criminal conduct by Kevin Gleason, you can file a report with the FBI, click here to get to the website where you can file a tip!

One of Gleason's ex-girlfriends is moving on.

"Sara Sara Ashleigh, aka Sara Meier, one of ex-Police Chief Kevin Gleason’s ex-girlfriends and mother of Gleason’s youngest daughter has an impressive drive! Sara manages the “Children's Crossing” store located at 479 Main Street, (Rt.20), Fiskdale MA, in the same building as the Sturbridge Coffee House, is a real estate agent for Sullivan & Wallace, a full time mom to her daughter, and still finds the time to do concerts… I am truly impressed ... Sara Ashleigh is on Facebook.com under Sara E. Ashleigh.
Dave Bell, drums, is another individual with a busy schedule. Dave is the owner of 1-Stop Towing on Holland Road in Brimfield.
I hope a lot of people will attend the concert on May 22 in Palmer.

What is Holland thinking?

The first piece with this title posted a month ago created the most comments. Usually comments on the Holland Blog should relate to the topic of a piece. Going forward, the Holland Blog will post every 6th day of the month a post with this title to make it a tradition. “What is Holland thinking” offers everybody an opportunity to voice his/her opinion about any topic. I will change the title to “Speak out Holland” next month to match the title to the new categorie under “Categories” on the left and with the domain name www.speakoutholland.com.

What is on your mind? Just click on the comment link below and.... speak out Holland!

The Holland Blog is working!

The Holland Blog subscribes to a service that analyzes traffic patterns.
Yesterday the Holland Blog set a new record with 190 visits total within 24 hours (midnight to midnight). The number of returning-visitors was 148; 42 visitors were new. New visitors are visitors that visited the Holland Blog for the first time ever. If an individual uses a different computer with a different IP he is counted as a new visitor.
The previous record was set on April 8 with 79 visits total, returning 73 and new 6 visitors. The total of page views yesterday was 1,119 pages. New visitors viewed 316 pages. The average time spent per visitor was 10:58 minutes; for new visitors it was 13:36 minutes. The average bounce rate was 20.63%; for new visitors it was an incredible 14.29%!
The Google search Chief Kevin Gleason resignation, produces the Holland Blog as 4th ranking result. The Holland Blog beats the Telegram & Gazette webpage which is 5th!! The top ranking and the second result actually quote the Holland Blog’s post about Gleason's resignation from the Southbridge PD about 10 years ago. In that sense the Holland Blog is not only the top ranking result for this search, the Holland Blog holds 3 out of the top four ranks! Out of fairness, the third ranking result is quoting the Telegram & Gazette piece written by Kim Ring about Gleason's resignation.
Thanks to everybody participating on the Holland Blog and thereby improving the quality of life in our community!
