Amy S Bishop
Amy started working as Executive Secretary for the town of Holland this past Monday, March 14, 2011.
Amy S Bishop is the wife of John D Bishop and the mother of two boys, Joshua and Robby.
Amy earned a degree at Salem State worked as an environmental scientist and as a dental assistant.
The Bishops bought a house on 10 Polly Road in Wales in 2001, and are residents of our neighboring town of Wales.
Amy Bishop is the founder and Foundation Director of MECP2 Foundation http://www.MeCP2Foundation.org. The organization was founded to make people aware of a rare disorder.
Karen Tavernier is the President of the none profit orgnaization.

Amy’s son Joshua who is 3-1/2 years old has a rare chromosomal disorder called MECP2 Duplication Syndrome.

Amy is very concerned about the environment and wrote a column a few times for Stonebridge Press to educate people on environmental and health issues.
In one of her columns Amy wrote:
“It is time to become more aware of what we are spraying in and around our homes. From cleaning our windows to scrubbing our toilets, we are continuing to spray more harsh chemicals around our home to have a super clean germ free place to live.”Amy’s piece had the title, “Economical ways to clean without damaging the environment.” The article was published in the Friday, September 19, 2008, issue of the Sturbridge Villager, (page 4):
