Some pictures of today's 5k race.

Everybody is moving to the start line on Sand Hill Road, just west of the playground at Holland Elementary School. Everybody is moving to the start line on Sand Hill Road. 160 participants were lined up at the start line for the 5k race, (5,000 meters are app. 3.1 miles). Everybody is getting ready. Just moments before the start. The race is on; Dick and Rick Hoyt, also known as “Team Hoyt” on the right in the picture. Here we go... A $15 pre-registration fee, or $20 fee today, was charged for participation. Proceeds of the race will help pay for the yearly Camp Bournedale, New England’s Premier Boys Summer Camp. As every year, the 6th grade students of the Holland Elementary School will make a trip to Plymouth.
The Police and some volunteers blocked the roads to provide safety to the runners. The Race is on. Click on any picture to enlarge!
